Dr. Teresa Phillips
Dr. Phillips moved to Arlington, Texas when she was in middle school, after her father retired from active duty in the United States Marine Corps. Texas very quickly became home after living the first part of her life in North Carolina, Virginia and Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school, Dr. Phillips moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition. She moved back to the DFW area and spent the next 20 years working as a clinical nutritionist, public school teacher, and eventually as a manager in the corporate offices of Neiman Marcus.
During her time at Neiman Marcus, Dr. Phillips acknowledged her long-time desire to serve the community as a doctor and began the journey to follow her dream. While she considered going to medical school to become a Doctor of Osteopathy, she knew that chiropractic was a better fit with her personal preference for natural and holistic health practices.
Already living in the area, she chose to attend Parker University in Dallas, and graduated with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. After graduation, Dr. Phillips spent a short time living in Savannah, Georgia before the opportunity opened to move to Houston. A Texas girl at heart, she jumped at the chance to move back to her home state.
She is the youngest of three. Her brother, also a former Marine, lives in Pensacola, Florida, and her sister, a college professor and also Dr. Phillips, lives in Cleveland, Tennessee. In her free time, Dr. Phillips can be found spending time outdoors and exploring the Houston area with her dog, Blue.
